About us (2011)
By Sarah Choi
Mountain View High School (Lawrenceville, GA) opened in Fall, 2009. Our Student Council has been running since then, and it has been one of the most active clubs in Mountain View. This year we are consisted of approximately 50 members, all of them great student leaders. These members are divided into 6 committees - Community Service, Faculty Relations, Public Relations, Spirit, Student Relations, and Relay for Life.
Although only in our third year, MVHS Student Council has accomplished a lot. So far our members have attended 2 National Conferences, 2 Southern Association Conferences, and 2 State Conferences. We led various outstanding projects such as Mix It Up Week, Trunk-or-Treat, and The Great Escape. Recently, we have also been elected as the next President School of the Georgia Association of Student Councils.
