Homecoming 2012
By Bear Essential's Crew
The weekend you all had been looking forward to has already come and go, but it isn’t something that we should just forget about. Let’s recap what might have been one of the best weekends Mountain View students have had since the year began. Friday, September 21st at 7:30PM Mountain View’s 4th homecoming game began. The student section, all glowing with spirit (literally), anxiously cheered on the team hoping for a win. Half time only brought more excitement as our very own Maria Escobar was crowned Homecoming Queen of 2012. Nearing the end of the 4th quarter, the mighty bears had it in the bag and left the stadium with a win of 24-14. If you didn’t notice, that was the FIRST homecoming game win in Mountain View Bear history! The weekend was only bound to get better. Saturday rolled around and it was time to celebrate! Walking down the long, purple carpet between the glowing lanterns made you feel as if you were walking down Bourbon Street. The DJ blasting music from the middle of the dance floor was a sure sign of a good time. Taking a break from all the fun, Mountain View’s football star, Michael Hayes was crowned Homecoming King of 2012. We hope all our fellow bears let their hair down and danced the night away this weekend at homecoming.
